With a remarkable career spanning over three decades, Kate Bell is one of Australia’s most successful and beloved models.
A natural beauty at 55, Kate is at the forefront of a ground breaking cultural shift, providing visibility to women over the age of 40 in the fashion and advertising industry. Kate is represented by The Chic Group in Australia, with Scoop Management being her Mother Agency, she is also placed with Chic Management and Chic Digital Creative. Kate was Australia’s first mature model in Australia to headline national advertising campaigns for beauty - MYER, underwear - BONDS and sporting - REBEL. When prodigious beauty brand MECCArebranded, Kate was one of four women chosen to represent the brand. Her vast and versatile portfolio includes YSL, Sony, Clarins and Nike. Kate starred in the David Jones ‘Visionaries’ campaign, “Models who are changing the face of fashion”. Currently she heads-up The David Jones 2024 Beauty Awards.
Beyond the glitz and glamour, Kate embraces a holistic approach to life. She became a qualified yoga instructor in her late 20s and has shared her expertise in yoga and meditation, in various settings including schools, yoga studios, gyms, and corporate environments for clients such as CAT and Saatchi and Saatchi. She is also well versed in teaching in more intimate retreat settings such as at La Fountaine Art Centre in Bahrain and one-on-one situations.
In 2004 Kate pioneered the ‘infotainment’ concept, independently producing five inflight yoga and wellness sessions which she then sold to QANTAS Entertainment. The QANTAS Comfort Zone aired on all international flights for the next four years and lead to the creation of the airline’s health and wellbeing business strategy. She then produced another series for banking giant HSBC, creating wellness videos that were aired in all the bank’s branches in Australia.
Kate is also a published writer, she crafts insightful personal essays that have been published on prestigious platforms such as Sunday Life in the Sun Herald, and Australia’s largest women’s media group, Mamamia. Through her niche, insider lens, Kate writes about the challenges and triumphs of ageing in an industry that mostly reveres youth.
Kate has also cultivated an engaged, largely female following on social media and has grown a community that is all about connection, empowerment and discovery for women.
